2021 DC Electronics Acey Four; this amp is a recreation of the original Vox AC4, circa 1962. The wiring and schematic is true to the original. I bought this amplifier new from Doug, the owner and builder at DC Electronics in late 2021. He is located in Durham, NC, and he can essentially recreate any amp you desire assuming there is a schematic and parts available. All parts and components of this amp are top shelf, with no short cuts or cheap stuff.
-Vintage Vox AC4 schematic
-Stock Vox cabinet
-Celestion G12 Gold speaker
-Mercury Magnetic transformers
-All NOS tubes, including NOS Mullard EF86
-Mullard mustard caps
-Doug's footswitch for tremolo
Tubes
-EZ80 tube rectifier, Tungsram NOS
-EF86 preamp tube, Mullard NOS
-12AX7 for tremolo, low frequency oscillator, NOS but cannot read or remember the brand (sorry)
-EL84 power tube, RCA NOS
Controls
-Two inputs, Volume, Speed (of tremolo), and On/Off Tone control.
The Tone control, like all vintage Vox amps, acts as more of a 'cut' contr; ie, as you turn clockwise, more high frequencies or 'highs' are cut. So turn all the way counterclockwise for the most highs.
This amp works fine; there are no electronic or other issues. It has never left my residence, and it has been an excellent practice amp and could be gigged assuming you mike it. I am only selling it as I have medical issues and am selling off stuff to pay bills, etc.
The amplifier will be well packed for shipment.
