NDG Unplayed Condition
At Nick's Drum Gear, unplayed means the cymbal has never been owned or played by an end user. Many of our cymbals originate from factory cymbal packs, giving them a known history from day one. Because they do not include a manufacturer's warranty, they are represented as unplayed rather than new.

Overview

The Zildjian A Custom 20" Medium Ride is one of the most versatile rides in the A Custom lineup, combining crisp stick definition with a smooth, shimmering wash and warm musical undertones. Its medium-thin profile allows the cymbal to respond quickly while maintaining excellent articulation, making it equally comfortable in the studio or on stage.

Recognized by its brilliant finish, tonal grooves, and lower profile, the A Custom Medium Ride delivers the polished, glassy sound that has made the A Custom series a favorite among professional drummers for decades.

This example remains unplayed and is in outstanding condition.

📝 Note on Brilliant-Finish Cymbals

Brilliant-finish cymbals are polished and buffed to achieve their reflective appearance. As a result, fingerprints, light handling marks, polishing swirls, finish variation, and minor factory handling evidence may be visible under direct lighting or close inspection. These cosmetic characteristics are common on brilliant-finish cymbals and do not affect performance, structural integrity, or sound quality.

📝 Nick's Notes

The A Custom Medium Ride has remained one of Zildjian's benchmark modern rides because it doesn't force you to choose between articulation and musicality. It delivers excellent stick definition while producing a pleasing wash that never overwhelms the ride pattern.

If you're looking for a single ride that performs equally well in live settings, studio sessions, worship environments, or modern pop and rock applications, this model continues to be one of the safest—and best-sounding—choices available.
