I purchased this instrument new on Sweetwater several years back.
It's in excellent condition with only some fading of the gold plating on some parts.
It has been set up and intonated to play great and be ready for practice/gigging out of the box.
The neck profile is like the early 60s SGs, so I'd call it a thin D. It's very comfortable, and easy on the hand for longer playing sessions.
This guitar sounds great with the pickup replacements.
The original alnico classics sounded nasal and just odd.
The Epi Pro buckers are the exact opposite...excellent tone that punches WAY above its price point IMO.
I buy a lot of USA made pickups as replacements too, and these could hang with the USA pickups any time I did A/B tone tests.
These Epi customs are great SGs, and I'm only selling it because my first love is for fat 50s necks. And the thinner neck guitars I own are not being played enough these days, so I'm selling some of them. And this one should go to someone who will play it all the time as it deserves. It's a great instrument... especially at this price point!
I'll include the original pickups when I ship the guitar to the new owner, so those can be kept or sold.
