This guitar has been kept in very good condition for its age with small signs of use. This Martin D-42 was made in 1998 and it has a very nice tone. The inlay and binding patterns are very beautiful and this guitar can sing! It has a pickup that was installed and this guitar sounds great plugged up as well. This guitar has been setup well and is a joy to play. Being made in 1998, it does have some small signs of use such as some small scratches and indentions. The frets are in good shape but there is some very small signs of fret use. None of the notes buzz at all and they all sing out loud and clear for all the hear. Something else to note is that it had a crack on the side professionally repaired. You can’t even tell that there ever was a crack in the first place. There’s also a small part of binding at the bottom of the fretboard next to the soundhole that could be glued back on better if wanted to. Overall, these things are just cosmetics and don’t affect how it plays at all. Also included is the original hard case, which has some small scuffs but works great. This is truly a beautiful guitar that has a very nice tone that only time can create. Everything will be packaged well for shipping.
