1962 Fender Bassman, "Brown Face', 6G6-B, With Fender Amp Cover

For sale is a phenomenal example of a 1962 Fender Bassman "Brown face" head. If you're searching for that iconic, articulate, and three-dimensional clean tone that defined a generation of music, this is it. Amp delivers the legendary Brown Face sparkle and warmth with incredible headroom, making it one of the ultimate pedal platforms. At 50 watts, it's the perfect volume for both stage and studio, capable of staying clean at loud volumes or breaking into rich, musical overdrive when pushed.

Condition: This Bassman is in excellent vintage condition. The original tolex and grill cloth are in good shape for its age, with only minor signs of wear that add to its authentic character. The faceplate is almost perfect but shows age. Functionally, both channels work perfectly, the controls are responsive.

Professional and Thoughtful Service: This Bassman has been professionally serviced with a focus on safety and reliability while preserving as much of the original circuit and tone as possible. The goal was to make it gig-ready for years to come, without changing parts unnecessarily.

The following essential service has been completed:

• Power Supply Filter Caps & Resistors: All filter capacitors and some of their Resistors (in the doghouse) have been replaced.
• Bias Cap & Resistor: Bias capacitor and resistor have been replaced.
• Coupling Caps: Replace channel 2's Caps and resistors.
• Out of spec resistors:  Any Resistor out of spec was replaced.
• Removed: Death Cap.
• Added Adjustable Bias:  Added Adjustable Bias to help the 6L6gc's
• Transformers:  Replaced all transformers with MojoTone replacements.
• Channel 1 input Jacks:  Replace the jacks and resistors.
• Tubes:  The 6L6GC's are RCA ' Black Plate' from 1973. Date Code 'DU'. The Pre-amp are mix of vintage USA tubes.

All other circuit components, including other iconic parts are original to the amp and are functioning perfectly.
