Up for sale, a 1981 Gibson ES-175D in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A true time capsule, this stunning Blonde ES is one of the first loaded with Gibson’s lauded Tim Shaw PAF humbuckers.

Weighing only 7lbs 1oz, tonewoods include a maple body and three-piece maple neck capped by a rosewood fretboard. This guitar has an articulate, snappy treble response with a warm, broad bloom courtesy of the fully hollow construction. The Tim Shaw PAF humbuckers represent Gibson's first attempt at recreating the magic of their late '50s humbucker design. Offered for only a few short years, the Shaws are designed with unoriented, rough cast Alnico V magnets, plastic spacers, and poly-coated wire, achieving the harmonic complexity, power, and tonal clarity of the original PAF. This ES-175D has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
