Rare original 1980s Fender Japan ultra-rare Performer neck this is a dead straight, slim fast-playing vintage neck with a good amount of life left in the frets and a great vintage vibe. As you probably know this is one of the rarest Japan Fender guitars -- a specialty futuristic design by John Page, only made for one year, 85-86. Fenders from the early to mid 1980s period in Japan were every bit as good as the USA ones -- they have a great reputation. This is dated E5 -- I don't think any USA Fender guitars were made that transition year. The fretboard is in unusually good shape for a 40 year old neck; very clean. The frets have only minor wear. These came with headstock trem locks, although there may have been a different kind of trem lock installed at one point, to judge from the screw holes... not sure on that, you probably know. It's a really nice neck! And where are you going to find another one? Please see my other listings for more vintage guitar items.
