1997 Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cut Cherry w/OHSC

Offered here is a superbly clean and all-original example of a 1997 Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cut from Gibson’s highly regarded “Good-Wood Era,” finished in classic Cherry.

Built with a one-piece solid mahogany body, a bound slim ’60s-profile mahogany neck, and a pair of P-90 pickups, this guitar exemplifies the qualities that have made Gibson’s mid-1990s “Good-Wood Era” so highly regarded. It delivers the unmistakable bite, warmth, and dynamic response of P-90 pickups, combined with a straightforward, no-frills design and the exceptional build quality that many players feel sets this period apart from modern-era Gibson production.

This example has clearly been well looked after and remains in excellent, near-mint condition. It is free from breaks, repairs, or structural concerns, is functionality throughout, and presents beautifully.

Cosmetic wear is extremely limited to a few light surface marks consistent with careful use and age—you'd be hard pressed to find another example this squeaky clean!

The neck is smooth and comfortable in the hand, with just one small mark to note (and we're being extremely picky here!), while the frets show minimal wear and have plenty of life remaining.

Everything here is factory stock.

Included is the original brown Gibson TKL hard case with pink interior—displaying signs of light wear but is fully functional.

It’s been expertly cleaned and setup by Ben of Beej Guitar Repairs with a fresh set of 10-46 strings.
