Bad Cat Hot Cat 15R. Handwired and Made in the USA in the early 2010s. It uses 2-EL84 power tubes, 7-12ax7 preamp tubes and a tube rectifier. Great if you’re looking for the vox-type sound, handwired in the USA with a very high build quality and a second channel that gets into high gain territory. 

The amp was originally a combo but the tolex had gotten severely worn and the combo was heavy, so I put it in a headshell I got directly from the Bad Cat factory. This amp is also marked as a NAMM prototype on the back.

The amp is the two channel version with individual master volumes, which really helps a lot with this amp. It is a very loud 15 watts and generally I would use it in the 7 watt mode when gigging with a modern PA, and at 15 watts without a PA (switchable on the back). The channels are footswitchable or alternatively you can plug into each input for each channel and it will automatically select the one you plug into. This version also has a mid eq on the second channel.

This version has reverb controls for both channels but the reverb tank is currently not hooked up. There is space for it in the cabinet but I wanted to make sure the amp had enough air flow. The original reverb tank is included but won’t be installed in the head.

The amp is in excellent working condition and sounds great on both channels. Cosmetically it is in very good shape with a little wear to the exterior and handle. The eyes light up on the front panel.

I only ship to the lower 48 States. I pack well but I purchase shipping insurance in case anything happens during transit. I travel frequently and it may take up to three days for me to ship.
