2003 American Vintage ’62 Reissue Jazz Bass in a 3-Tone Sunburst finish with a tortoiseshell pickguard. This model features the early 1960s configuration, including the concentric "stack-knob" volume/tone controls, dual vintage-spec single-coil pickups, and reverse-gear tuners.
- Neck Heel Stamp: MAR 20 2003 (Stamped "62 JB")
- Body Pocket Stamp: FEB 26 2003
- Serial Number: V144XXX (On the neck plate)
This guitar is all period correct including the thin lacquer nitro-cellulose finish.
Included is the original G&G textured hardshell case with keys, chrome covers and screws, and some gizmos I don't recognize. (I'm not a bass player)
Please note: while trying to verify correct year, a flake of finish popped off while removing and reinstalling neck to inspect the pocket. It's only finish though, no missing wood. (visible in last picture.
