Gretsch Custom Shop Masterbuilt by Chad Henrichsen: '59 Style White Falcon Relic (2024)

Now available in mint condition: A stunning 2024 '59-style White Falcon, masterfully crafted with incredible passion and detail by Master Builder Chad Henrichsen!

An incredibly rare find from the Gretsch Custom Shop, featuring an exquisite Relic finish that radiates an overwhelming vintage aura. If this masterpiece catches your eye, don’t hesitate—inquire today!

The Visionary Builder: Chad Henrichsen

Chad is a true genius with a fascinating, unconventional background. Originally attending school with aspirations of becoming an audio engineer, his path shifted when a bandmate recommended him for a setup technician role at Fender (Gretsch’s parent company). From there, his natural talent for guitar repair quickly set him apart.

Hungry for knowledge, he relentlessly absorbed advice from the seasoned veterans who had anchored the shop for decades. Sacrificing sleep to tackle the most complex, high-difficulty techniques, he honed his craft with an almost obsessive level of passion.

When Chad joined the Gretsch Custom Shop in 2008, he brought with him an unmatched, sharp eye for perfection and delicate nuance. It wasn't long before he made a name for himself as a premier specialist in crafting custom necks—the very soul of any guitar.

A natural-born maker, Chad’s genius spans woodworking, amp modification, car restoration, and PC building. As a highly skilled multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, bass, piano, and drums, he speaks the same musical language as the world's top artists, allowing him to turn their most demanding, eccentric requests into reality. This insatiable curiosity and playful spirit are exactly what make his creations so extraordinary.

The Divine Status of the Gretsch Custom Shop

Let’s talk about why the "Gretsch Custom Shop" is canonized by guitarists worldwide. In an era where most brands embrace modern CNC (automated cutting) machines for maximum efficiency, the Gretsch Custom Shop takes a defiant stand against the times.

While they do use CNC for logos and inlays to ensure visual consistency, the creation of the neck and body—the actual heart of the instrument—is strictly handled through traditional, old-school methods. Instead of high-tech machinery, they faithfully rely on pure analog tools, like vintage copy carvers. They take immense, fierce pride in not using modern high-tech machines.

Discarding efficiency in favor of grueling, hands-on craftsmanship—and genuinely loving every single minute of it—is the core of their artisan soul.

This devotion is why their annual production numbers are extremely limited, making owning one feel like a minor miracle. This White Falcon encapsulates their "human warmth" and "relentless obsession" without a single millimeter of compromise. The moment you hold it, you will feel a spine-tingling aura—the undeniable presence of a human soul injected into an instrument, something mass production can never replicate.

Artistry in Aging: The Masterbuilt Relic Finish

The artistry is most prominent in its breathtaking Relic finish. This is far beyond a simple distressed look. Only a highly skilled Master Builder could achieve weather checking this realistic and a vintage patina this sublime, mimicking a guitar that has battled through decades of high-volume stage performances.

It offers the ultimate guitarist’s luxury: the playability of a brand-new instrument paired seamlessly with that irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind vintage vibe right out of the case.

Uncompromising '59 Specifications

This guitar features the perennially popular, legendary '59 specs, driven by dual Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter'Tron pickups. Specs that are virtually extinct on the vintage market have been flawlessly resurrected here by Chad, a builder who knows hollow-body guitars inside and out.

At the core of the '59 model's acclaimed sound is the Trestle Bracing. It effectively tames feedback even at high stages volumes, allowing for a far more versatile and modern sonic palette.

The fingerboard is crafted from premium, hand-selected ebony, adorned with thumbnail inlays that are simple yet strikingly elegant. Combined with a relic texture that melts into your hand like a well-worn leather jacket, this guitar achieves the absolute pinnacle of both looks and playability.

The Crown Jewel: The Cadillac "G" Tailpiece

To top it all off, the guitar is equipped with the ultra-luxurious Cadillac "G" Tailpiece. The sleek, noble curves of the V-accented Cadillac tailpiece create a spectacular contrast against the pure white body end. Combined with the historic relic vibe, its presence perfectly validates the title: "The Most Beautiful Guitar in the World."

Condition & Accessories

The frets and nut show minimal signs of wear, a clear testament to how carefully the previous owner preserved this instrument. Due to the intentional factory Relic finish, any additional minor handling marks blend in seamlessly.

It comes complete with a reissue of the "Supreme Guitar Case"—the legendary, top-tier case that only existed from the mid-1950s to the early 1960s. Naturally, all the collector-favorite case candy is intact, including the Certificate of Authenticity signed by the builder, the OK card, and more.

This masterpiece is dedicated to long-time Gretsch devotees, Fender Custom Shop collectors, and anyone searching for a true "lifetime guitar."

Don't miss your chance to claim this miracle for yourself!
