This is a VERY clean example of a 1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom with a natural finish. The serial number indicates 1976 while the pots date to 1977, so this one was probably started in 76 and finished in 77. Aging is present in places to be expected (bridge, tailpiece, pickups, etc...) Light surface marks throughout and some dings present. I tried to capture as many as I could in the photos. This guitar plays and sounds awesome. The only issue is that the 9th fret at the Low E string is slightly high causing it buzz. My best guess is that when the frets were last leveled (not sure when this was), the person that did it left a high spot. A good guitar tech could easily fix this or you could if you're handy with fret leveling.
As far as I'm aware, the guitar is almost all original. Some screws have been replaced over the years and the bridge tone pot was replaced somewhat recently with a StewMac 500k pot. Pickups are original Gibson T-Type. Overall, this is a really awesome guitar. No other breaks, cracks, or repairs. Comes with the original Gibson chainsaw case.
