Up for grabs is this gorgeous 2017 Yamaha Revstar RSP20CR in Brushed Black. This is the Made in Japan version of the Revstar, which is the top of the line, and this bad boy bridges the gap between gorgeous eye candy and easy, comfortable fit and finish. It plays and sounds amazing.

A previous owner drilled a third strap buttonhole in the heel, likely for balance, and as a result, it sits perfectly on the shoulder and does not neck-dive. I took a picture of the missing strap button on the horn (see images). Other than that, the pickups are the only non-stock part of this Revstar. The original owner installed Brandonwound Pickups, but the original VH7+ pickups are included.

Condition-wise, it has a few light scratches on the back and one mini-ding on the top (see pictures). The back of this Revstar is difficult to photograph because of the glossy finish, which wants to reflect and refract everything around it. From a scratch categorization, on the back, there are a few of the polishing variety and some very slight, hard-to-make-out buckle worming, which is not to be confused with buckle rash, as it is light and doesn't penetrate the finish to expose any wood. Again, these back scratches are light, and it was exceedingly difficult to photograph the back.

The neck is straight, the action is smooth, and the frets have mucho life left in them. It's a nearly 10-year-old guitar, and you can expect to play it for decades to come.

This is one of the best guitars money can buy for its price point, out-punching the likes of Gibson and PRS in the solid-body, set-neck arena all day long. It ships with its original Yamaha hardcase, including its Certificate of Authenticity.
