This is a beautiful blonde Gibson L5-S custom guitar. Production number 180, made in Kalamazoo Michigan on November 14, 1978.
This the guitar is an excellent condition for its age. The neck is straight with a scale of 24.75 inches and the action is quite low with no buzzing. It has a very nice jazz tone as well as an incredibly beautiful rock tone with lots of sustain when pushed into overdrive.
You can see the gold plating is somewhat worn which should be expected for an instrument that was well played and of this age. There are very few scratches or dings on the Guitar. It weighs 9 1/2 pounds which gives it excellence sustain.
It comes with its original Gibson case. The top and bottom latches are broken, as you can see in the picture of the guitar in the case, but the middle three, two on the front and one on the back, are very secure and hold the instrument with no movement.
