Hello. I am selling a Gibson L6-S Custom circa 1973 based on the information provided to me.

Serial #: 188653

There is good information available online about the history of this model, but essentially the L6-S Custom design was descending from the L-5 body shape and introduced as Gibson's first 24-fret solid body electric.

I don't know all the history of this guitar, but I'll share what I know below.

First off, it's a cool looking 70s Gibson solid body guitar. It has cosmetic wear (dings, scratches, buckle rash, etc), but given it's age, it's aged very nicely in my opinion. I view it as the type of wear that enhances the vintage vibe of the instrument.

- It plays well, stays in tune, and has nice, low action.

- It has several after-market parts which are listed in the photos and below. If I were to guess, this was somebody's pet project guitar at one point in time and was used to explore various wiring/pickups/hardware/etc options.

- I DO notice the occurrence of fret sprout and recommend having a qualified luthier/tech assess.
- It does NOT come with hardshell case. I will have a correct vintage case available for sale in a separate listing.

Aftermarket parts:

KellingSound custom wiring harness: 12-way varitone push/pull coil tap pots.
-- 3-way pickup selector switch
-- 2 Bourns 500k push/pull volume pots for coil tap and 12-way varitone w/ choke.
