NDG Unplayed Condition
At Nick's Drum Gear, unplayed means the cymbal has never been owned or played by an end user. Many of our cymbals originate from factory cymbal packs, giving them a known history from day one. Because they do not include a manufacturer's warranty, they are represented as unplayed rather than new.

The reimagined Z Custom Ride brings back one of the most aggressive and articulate ride cymbal voices Zildjian has ever produced.

Built specifically for high-volume live performance, the 20" Z Custom Ride delivers exceptional stick definition, enormous projection, and a commanding bell that cuts through dense stage mixes with ease. Even under aggressive playing, individual sticking remains clear and controlled.

This is a purpose-built ride for drummers who need articulation and power without disappearing into loud guitars and amplified mixes.

📝 Nick’s Notes

The Z Custom Ride is all about projection and definition. Even complex sticking patterns remain audible in loud live environments, which is exactly what made the original Z Custom series so popular among hard-hitting players.

The redesigned modern versions feel slightly more musical and responsive than the originals while still retaining the unmistakable aggressive Z-series personality.

The brilliant finish and star hammering look incredible under stage lighting.

📌 Note on Handcrafted K and Z-Series Cymbals

Zildjian K and Z-series cymbals are individually hand-hammered and tonally shaped at the factory. Natural hammer marks, tonal shaping impressions, finish variation, and minor handling marks are normal characteristics of the series and are not considered defects.
