A rare beauty! This beautiful archtop left the Gretsch plant in 1946 and began it's new life as a Silvertone! It's price $105 with case would equal $1870 in today's currency so this was an upscale professional instrument. Recent refurb at Nashville Fretworks included:

Neck reset

Back removed for brace repair

Rebinding, front and back.

Fret dress

Fab reproduction pickguard retaining

the original bracket and felts

Source and install correct tailpiece, some hidden holes remain underneath from the Harmony tailpiece prior

Neck binding was glued back into place and kept for originality.

A neck scratch behind the first fret was touched up, although it appeared like a crack it was just a surface crack.

The best part: This plays and sounds as good as it looks! Really a functional piece of art for the vintage guitar lover. The original Geib case is very rare as well, has some loose seams but is usable/restorable. Sold "As described" so ask all the questions that you need.
