This is an all gold Les Paul from Gibson’s Garage in Nashville, weighing in at 8 lbs. 10oz. These are true solid bodies, not weight relieved. These are more of an exclusive line that Gibson offers, that have the best of the best as far as wood selection goes. These are Murphy lab nitrocellulose lacquer finishes. This particular one is not aged. It is more of a closet classic, if you will.
These “all gold” Les Pauls displayed at the Gibson Garage Nashville, are ultra-high-end Gibson Custom Shop or Murphy Lab “Double Gold” / “All Gold” reissues inspired by the early–mid 1950s Goldtops. Gibson Garage often gets exclusive or hand-selected examples that don’t always appear in the regular Gibson catalog
