This 150th Anniversary shell set features 100% maple shells made from a combination of North American and Chinese maple. Ebony replica veneer is used for the outer ply of the shells and the bass drum hoops. As on all high end SONOR drums, the veneer is set vertical. It is finished with clear high gloss lacquer.
