*RARE* Limited 1998 Fender Custom Shop 12 String "Telecaster 12" with RARE Curtis Novak Tele Lipstick pickup, RARE VINTIQUE (Danny Gatton) Hardware,VIP Pots

RARE 1998 Fender Custom Shop 12-string "TELECASTER 12."

I am the original owner of this hen's teeth rare (very few made)1998 Fender Custom Shop 12-string, ash body, "TELECASTER 12", in lovely Two-Tone Sunburst. Very few of these were made. It has never left the house, it has never been gigged, and has always been well taken care of.

Additionally, I put a lot of time (years of daily searching) and money into the upgraded boutique/rare/irreplaceable parts (by small business guitar parts makers-NOT sold in any store) to make this guitar absolutely, irrefutably perfect.

*Genuine Italian celluloid nitrate pickguard in mint green, with vintage correct bevel/correct countersunk screw holes. The celluloid nitrate pickguard is attached to the bodywith upgraded 316-grade (marine-grade/nautical-grade) stainless steel screws.

*RARE/custom made/one-off Curtis Novak lipstick Tele bridge pickup. I know of no one else who makes a lipstick Tele bridge pickup. This articulate, beautiful sounding pickup more than nails the jangly sound/"Dano" sound.

It is attached to the chrome-plated brass Fender Custom Shop chrome plated brass bridge with upgraded 316-grade (nautical-grade/marine-grade) stainless steel screws.

*Open-top plated aluminum neck pickup cover. This opens up the tone of the already amazing Fender Custom Shop neck pickup, resulting in improved articulation/less muffle.

*VIP (Vintage Inspired Pickups) 280k solid-shaft pots. These are accurately based on the behavior/taper of 1950s Centralab pots. These audiophile-grade, aurally pleasing pots have the smoothest, even taper/ramp-up.

Perfect for swells (no jumpiness).

By far, these are the fines pots made.

* Luxe .1 /150MFD paper-in-oil capacitor.

I searched high and low for the the most aurally pleasing capacitor, and this is the result of that search.

*Pure Tone output jack. The patented Pure Tone jack features dual-tension, and dual-positive tips for optimum signal, lowest possible noise, and a stable connection.

*Electrosocket aerospace-grade aluminum jack cup. This jack cup will not move/will not loosen. It's the best, permanently stable jack cup!

*RARE VINTIQUE (Jay Monterose, sole guitar tech and close friend of the late Danny Gatton) heavy-knurled solid-brass chrome-plated knobs. These are no longer made, and they are the same ones Jay made for Danny Gatton. They feel amazing, have a beautiful grip/knurl, and are slightly taller than standard knobs.

*RARE VINTIQUE "electropolished" (the ultimate in chrome plating) stainless steel control plate, which is attached to the body with 316-grade (marine-grade/nautical-grade) stainless steel screws.

*Neck inserts kit.

Italian stainless steel machine screws with 304-grade stainless steel neck inserts kit. This system offers the tightest fit/joining of the neck and body. This system results a very noticeable improvement in sustain/tone, and it allows for endless removal of neck and body, if need be. Danny Gatton had neck inserts (mated to stainless steel machine screws) on his Teles.

Fender Custom Shop co-founder John Page uses this neck kit system (stainless steel machine screws attached to threaded neck inserts) on all of his guitar builds, and he has publicly stated that the neck kit (stainless steel machine screws couped to threaded inserts) greatly improves the tone/sustain.

With regard to the myriad of aforementioned upgrades, such as neck inserts/stainless steel machine screws, stainless steel pickguard screws and control plate screws, the

Pure Tone output jack, stainless steel control plate, heavy-knurled knobs, the Electrosocket jack cup, the Italian celluloid nitrate pickguard (with correct cut/material/holes), the VIP pots, and the paper-in-oil capacitor, I'm unwaveringly passionate/emphatic about the crucial/necessary need for all them to make the perfect guitar. They are the result of my background in material science/many years of research.

By far, this 12-string Telecaster is much easier to play than a Rickenbacker 12-string, and is more comfortable than a Rickenbacker 12-string.

Health issues have forced me to sell it.
