Part of a collection here in the shop on consignment: This appears to be an early 60s Fender Bassman 2x12 cab. There are no markings other than a "161" written on several panels inside (1961?). Structurally the cabinet itself is fine. The exterior tolex was once blonde but was painted black at some point. It has a lot of wear. Not sure if the paint could be removed cleanly. The screws on the back panel are missing the little cup washers so they've dug into the particle board back. The handle for the top is missing. The brown grill cloth is in good shape with only a small hole (see picture). The sides have old Fender tilt back legs. Part of the "d" on the Fender logo is broken off. Inside there's a Peavey 12838G and an Eminence 12EAGB16A. Both have the same stamp on the cone "WHF-5380". The speakers have parallel wiring. The wiring is atrocious and needs to be re-done. The cable jack is glued in but will likely come loose with repeated use. The cab does work but the sound can cut in and out (likely wiring issue). It's a good project cab. Weight and dimensions are shown in the pictures.
