Vintage Gibson L6-S guitar (1974-75)
Up for sale is a classic piece of 1970s Gibson history: a 1974/75 Gibson L6-S (serial number: 414741). Designed by legendary pickup master Bill Lawrence, this was Gibson's first all-maple solid-body guitar and features a full 24-fret, two-octave neck. Famous players like Carlos Santana, Ronnie Wood and Al Di Meola used these massive tone chameleons back in the day. I found this guitar over 20 years ago and it needed some TLC - it's been refinished and some missing parts replaced with stock kit: 1 tuning peg, the scratch plate and bridge. Original pickups and 6-way selector switch are intact but had to be re-wired. Since then I've only ever used it sparingly and never gigged it, so it's in wonderful condition for a vintage 50+ year old guitar.
