1986 Fender American Vintage '62 Stratocaster - 3-Color Sunburst

Transported in time from the heyday of the "surf" era, the '62 Vintage Stratocaster reflects several evolutionary changes that had taken place since the mid-50s. The straggered-magnet pickups and small headstock and tuning machines remained, but Rosewood fingerboards had replaced the maple necks of the 50's A 3-color sunburst finish and 3-ply laminated pickguard had replaced the original color scheme. The '62 faithfully captures these and other details of the early 60s Stratocasters, along with unique sound and superb playing qualities that have always ben Stratocaster trademarks.

Condition: This AVRI 62' Stratocaster is in very good condition for a vintage electric guitar. It is all original and fully intact with no breaks, cracks or major dents. It features a slab rosewood neck, original black bottom pickups, the original three-way switch, and a two-tone sunburst finish. There is honest play wear on it from a few decades of play. The upper bout has been worn from the picking hand and arm. There is a 3 inch scratch on the back of the body near the backplate. The finish has been worn off on a spot on back of the neck where the thumb might rest. A few small dents and marks here and there on the body. Comes with the original hardshell case, where one latch has been replaced. The original accessory 5 way switch is also present and original limited warranty card.
