This is the wah pedal that helped change the Chili Peppers fortunes forever, and put John Frusciante on the map. His wah tones are sick.. This one is like brand new, it's not cracked whatsoever and I've never even put a shoe on it, when I use them I use my socks. It's barely been touched, as I've used it as a potential backup. The boxes for these are VERY flimsy, so the Box fell apart a long time ago. I'm the second owner and bought this around 1996-97..

The reason why this one is more expensive is because it's from the very first batch. The v1's that were made after the first batch ones, they just didn't sound quite as good which is ultimately very rare. You're not going to find one from the very first batch.

Do not waste your money on a V2 or a v3, you may as well flush your money down the toilet. Another great thing about the early V1 pedals from late 1991, is they behave well with distortion pedals, and Tube Screamers without the crazy noise, or white noise. You cannot nail the Chili Peppers tone without this wah. I will send you a new fresh battery with it as well, so you can try it out with a battery. The battery lasts a very long time in this pedal if you unplug your cords. No adapter is included in this sale, it takes standard 9 volt boss style adapters, or a 9volt battery. These really sound cool when the battery starts to die.
