1998-1999 Danelectro 56 U-2 Rare Burgundy Burst Purple Burst Finish MIK Korea 1st Reissue

This is one of THE COOLEST Danelectro finishes that came out for the 1st wave of reissues circa 1998.. the seldom seen "Burgundy Burst" Danelectro U-2 model. This finish was noted aa "Burgundy Burst" in the 1999 catalogs but it's a deep metallic Plum Purple color that fades into the cream center and is often called "Purple Burst".

Guitar is fully functional. 3 way switch works to control the neck pickup / both pickups (wired in series for fuller output) / bridge pickup selections and each pickup has its own volume (the dark disc) and tone (the white knob) controls. Truss rod adjust is at the heel and the truss rod does work. Frets have hardly any wear. Neck is straight and frets are clean with plenty of life left. Guitar looks and plays great. Screws have some discoloration and there is some light clouding on edge of fretboard shown in last picture; this does not affect the playability of the guitar in any way. Guitar is extremely clean otherwise.

No case or gig bag but guitar will be packed safely and shipped quickly, fully insured with signature required.

This is a pre owned guitar that will show some wear commensurate of age and use.

Guitar plays fine as is but any personal cleaning, setups, maintenance or repairs will be the new owners responsibility.
