Drawing inspiration from classic 1950s Tweed amps, the Mesa/Boogie California Tweed 6V6 4:40 delivers warm, vintage tone with modern versatility. Loaded with 6V6 power tubes, this amp offers the unmistakable character of early American tube amps while incorporating cutting-edge features like Mesa’s Duo-Class™ and Dyna-Watt™ technologies. You can dial in the perfect response for any style or setting with five distinct power settings, two class options, and three wiring modes.

The California Tweed is equipped with Normal and Low inputs, a responsive 3-band EQ, and intuitive controls for Gain, Presence, Reverb, and Master volume. Its lush, long-tank, all-tube spring reverb adds rich dimension, while a fully buffered series effects loop makes it easy to integrate your favorite pedals.

This amp is more than a nod to the past — it’s a refined, road-ready combo that brings boutique craftsmanship to every note. Mesa/Boogie, known for its high-gain legacy, returns to its roots with this elegant homage to founder Randall Smith’s earliest inspirations. Handcrafted in Petaluma, California, the California Tweed 6V6 4:40 reflects decades of tone innovation — a perfect match for players who want vintage soul with reliable modern performance.
