The AZ series is a new innovation from Ibanez Prestige.

The DNA of guitar making that Ibanez has accumulated so far is alive everywhere.

This model is the AZ2402 from the prestige series, which is popular for its high quality unique to domestic products.

The original body shape with a thin body contour reminiscent of the flagship model S and a large elbow contour greatly contributes to improving playability.

In addition, the R angle of the front and back of the body is different, R3mm on the front and R8mm on the back, so the fit when holding the guitar is excellent whether you are sitting or standing.

The material is alder, finished in a vivid ice blue metallic color.

The neck and fingerboard are made of Estech-treated maple.

This Estech treatment is a nitrogen heating treatment technology for wood developed in Sendai, and its use as a guitar material is the first in the world.

Wood treated with this treatment has characteristics such as shape stability, resistance to warping, water resistance, and resistance to temperature changes.

The neck thickness is 20.5mm at the 1st fret and 22.5mm at the 12th fret.

The neck width is 42mm at the nut, and 56.4mm and 57mm at the last fret of the 22F and 24F models, respectively. The shape is designed to be easy to grip at the low frets and to be easy to play in the classical style with the thumb on the back of the neck at the high frets.

The finish is an oil finish that gives the feel of a well-played neck.

The frets are jumbo-sized stainless steel frets.

The tone is bright, the tone is smooth, and the sound is quick to respond.

The frets are harder than regular nickel silver frets, and are less likely to wear out.

The pickups are Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups.

These pickups were created in collaboration with Seymour Duncan exclusively for the Ibanez AZ model.

They achieve the specifications and sound image that are considered to be optimal for the AZ model.

This custom pickup has a slightly lower output so that the original sound remains clean even when distorted, and focuses on the tracking and reproducibility of picking.

From the treble to the sound of the 1st to 6th bass strings, we place importance on the total balance and also pursue good effect ride. The magnet is Alnico 5.

The mini switch between the volume and tone knobs allows you to switch to a variety of sound variations.

When turned on, it switches to power tap mode.

This is a special wiring that taps one coil and makes use of the low range of the other coil.

It features a clear high range and a thick, well-defined sound that cannot be obtained with a normal tap.

The bridge is a two-point support floating synchro type bridge developed in collaboration between Gotoh, a long-established domestic brand, and Ibanez.

It features a hard machined titanium saddle and a machined steel inertia block that achieve both good sound onset and a solid, fat sound, and also features a high range with a good extension.

The string pitch is a narrow 10.5mm spacing, which allows players who frequently use skipping or hybrid picking to easily pick across strings.

The tuning pegs are Gotoh locking pegs that allow you to adjust the height of the posts.

This makes string changes easy and improves tuning stability.
