Epiphone Explorer - EVH 1975 Ibanez Destroyer "Replica"
This started as an Epiphone explorer. The headstock was carefully reshaped to the exact profile of the 1970's Ibanez destroyers. Pickguard was custom built to more accurately match the contours of the 70's Destroyers also. Neck humbucker is stock Epiphone but the bridge pickup is a Tonerider Octane 8, for that "super 70" Alnico 8 sound. Both volume controls are push-pull for coil splitting both pickups respectfully. Wilkinson EZ lock tuners.
The paint job has been nicked in a few places naturally; as it probably would have been on Eddie's original before he converted it into the infamous "Shark" guitar. The white layer is purposely not "factory" glossy or clear-coated to give the same rattle-can feel as the real thing would have had.
