Stunning example of the 50s Standard series early in the Gibson comeback era.
This particular one is a perfect example, as you can see the heritage cherry fades into a very deep red (not the brighter clown color) which makes the burst look that much more stunning. The tiger striping of the maple top is also amazing. The pictures are good, but they don’t do it justice.
It sounds awesome and has to be one of the best examples out there. It is also a nice weight for a LP, about 8 1/2 pounds. I’m letting it go because I picked up a vintage Les Paul that sounds almost identical.
This one has only been played a few times. Has all the case candy and will be securely shipped.
