The Suhr SL-67 Handwired is a 50-watt boutique tube head designed to faithfully recreate the sound of classic 1960s British amps, specifically the legendary Marshall Plexi style.

Built entirely by hand (handwired), it focuses on quality components and great dynamic response: the sound changes very naturally based on the guitarist's playing style and the guitar's volume. It features a single channel with four inputs (Normal and Treble, each with high/low), allowing the two circuits to be blended to achieve different tonal nuances, just like on vintage amps.

Sonically, it offers bright, open cleans, warm, defined crunch, and classic rock overdrive, without reaching the level of modern high-gain distortion. However, it integrates some modern conveniences, such as a transparent master volume (for saturation even at more manageable volumes) and the "Variac" mode, which lowers the voltage for a smoother, more compressed feel.

👉 In summary, it is a head designed for those looking for true Plexi sound, but with boutique reliability and better volume management for modern use.
