The long-awaited Burgundy Mist Metallic Jazzmaster has arrived!
Starting with surf music and later embraced by alternative, shoegaze, post-rock, and garage rock, the Jazzmaster has now earned popularity rivaling the Stratocaster and Telecaster. Now, an Ishibashi original model is here.
The finish is the highly anticipated Burgundy Mist Metallic, a rare traditional Fender color with enduring popularity among collectors and players alike. This uncommon finish, rarely seen on regular production models, is paired with an Aged White Pearloid pickguard for a distinctive and elegant look.
Special attention was also given to the sound. While the standard model uses a basswood body, this version features an alder body to emphasize a thicker, more vintage-like midrange with greater warmth and richness.
There are also notable changes to the neck. While it retains the relatively flat 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, the neck shape has been changed from the standard “U” shape to a Heritage 60s “C” shape, making it slightly slimmer and easier to grip, even for players with smaller hands. This makes it well suited not only for comfort but also for more modern and technical playing styles.
