1999 Peavey Wolfgang EVH Special Gloss Ivory – USA-Made EVH Signature Shred Machine Dripping with Stage-Ready Mojo and That Legendary Brown Sound!

If you’ve been chasing the holy-grail Van Halen tone without dropping five figures on a vintage Kramer or modern EVH reissue, this is the one that delivers the goods. This is the 1999 Peavey Wolfgang EVH Special in stunning Gloss Ivory – a true USA-built Eddie Van Halen signature axe from the golden Peavey era. Built to Ed’s exact specs during the late-’90s peak of his collaboration with Hartley Peavey, this flat-top Special was the more accessible version of the carved-top Wolfgang, but it never skimped on the high-performance DNA that made it a shredder’s dream.

The details of the magic: a sleek, minimalist double-cut basswood body wrapped in that creamy Gloss Ivory finish that still pops under the lights like fresh-out-of-the-factory shine. The hard-rock maple neck and fingerboard (oil-finished for that ultra-fast, broken-in feel) bolts on rock-solid with dual graphite reinforcement rods for stability and lightning-fast playability. 25.5" scale, straight headstock, and that signature Wolfgang profile – it’s the kind of neck that makes you want to run scales, tap harmonics, and dive-bomb all night long. Chrome hardware, faux binding, and the unmistakable EVH headstock logo complete the look.

Under the hood? Pure EVH-approved firepower:

- Peavey/EVH-designed dual humbuckers – hot, articulate, and voiced for that thick, harmonic-rich “brown sound” with killer clarity and sustain

- Licensed Floyd Rose tremolo with D-Tuna – dive-bomb stable, drop-D instant, and buttery smooth

- Single master volume knob + 3-way toggle – exactly the no-frills control layout Eddie demanded

- Everything screams high-output, stage-ready tone that cuts through a mix and feels alive under your fingers

This guitar doesn’t just play great — it reacts. Dynamic, responsive, and packed with that unmistakable EVH vibe: sparkling cleans, singing leads, and roaring overdriven chords that sustain forever. Whether you’re chasing 5150-era riffs, modern metal precision, or just want an axe that makes you play like a rock god, this Wolfgang Special nails it every single time.

Real-world condition loaded with honest character and killer vibes:

- A few scattered nicks, dings, dents, and light scratches — tasteful battle scars from real gigs, rehearsals, and road life

- Cool shadow marks on the front from previously applied stickers — exactly the kind of rock-star history that adds personality and that lived-in mojo without killing the killer gloss

- Still looks sharp overall, plays like an absolute dream, and absolutely oozes that irreplaceable late-’90s EVH magic

These USA-made 1999 Wolfgang Specials are getting rarer every year, especially in Gloss Ivory with this much soul and zero issues. The fit, finish, and playability are stupidly good… and that D-Tuna Floyd setup is the secret sauce that sets it apart from anything else in its class.

Serious players and EVH fans only. If you want a guitar that feels, plays, and sounds like it should cost triple the price — a true piece of Van Halen history that’s been loved and is ready to rip again — this 1999 Peavey Wolfgang EVH Special is your unicorn.

Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy

We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:

- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.

- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.

A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.

We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.

Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.

We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.

- All items can be shipped internationally. Buyer is fully responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees.
