Offered for sale is an exceptionally clean and completely original 1963 Fender Deluxe (6G3 Brownface).
This is a true collector-grade example — all original down to the original hang tag still attached to the handle, which is extremely rare to find intact.
The amp is in outstanding cosmetic condition with only light, honest wear consistent with age. The tolex, grille cloth, control panel, and hardware all present beautifully. All hardware appears original, showing natural aging and light oxidation as expected on a vintage piece of this era.
Internally, the amp remains correct and unmodified. Original Schumacher transformers are present with matching 1962 date codes (606-235), which is exactly what you want to see for a 1963 production amp. The original tube chart is intact with a production code indicating July 1963.
The amp still retains its original vintage tube set, including RCA and Tung-Sol preamp tubes and original Sylvania 6V6 power tubes. These tubes are consistent with early 1960s Fender production and are becoming increasingly difficult to find in original working condition. They contribute to the amp’s authentic tone and collector appeal.
The tremolo circuit is functional, though it appears somewhat less pronounced than expected as displayed in the youtube video below. This is likely due to tube condition or normal variation in a vintage circuit. The amp remains completely original, and no components have been altered.
Out of respect for the amp’s originality, no modifications or component changes have been made. It remains exactly as it left the store. Any characteristics of the circuit, including tremolo response, have been left untouched.
The original Jensen 12” speaker is present and correct for the period. The chassis serial number (D03252) is clearly stamped and consistent with early 1960s Fender production.
Sonically, this amp delivers everything the Brownface Deluxe is known for — warm, rich cleans with smooth, musical breakup and incredible touch sensitivity.
