Up for sale is a vintage 1974-era VOX V846 Wah-Wah pedal, from the classic Thomas Organ era of American VOX production.

Potentiometer markings 7406 = 6th week of 1974

This particular pedal was owned by guitarist Michael “WHIP” Wilton of Queensrÿche and is being offered by the seller on behalf of the artist. A Certificate of Authenticity signed/autographed by WHIP is included.

Dating evidence visible inside the pedal includes a Centralab potentiometer with a 1974 date code (7406 – 6th week of 1974) along with the desirable TDK 5103 Japan inductor. These components are consistent with 1970s Thomas Organ VOX V846 production.

The pedal shows honest cosmetic wear consistent with a vintage, approximately 50-year-old piece of gear, including wear to the chassis and bottom plate, but remains a great example of a genuine vintage VOX wah.

Inside is the characteristic brown phenolic circuit board with vintage components, including the clearly marked TDK 5103 JAPAN inductor.

The pedal has been opened to photograph and document the interior components for verification.
