This USA Custom Lakland Joe Osborn Signature #01 is up for grabs here that later had Frank Hammond custom pick ups installed at Laklands facility in Illinois. Owned by Greg Rzab of John Mayhall & The Blues Breakers, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Page w/ The Black Crowes and on and on. Then Greg was touring and he had Jeff Beck hand carve his name on the back at a gig in Italy that Greg Rzab was playing on with Jeff Beck. Greg told me that when Jeff put the period after his name the small piece ended up in Jeffs eye and his road manager had to help get it out before Jeff’s set, good times! Greg Rzab has written up a letter of provenance and it will be included with sale. Such a great bass in its own right but its story is kind of fun and memorable as well.
