- Evidence: The serial number 1092 falls within the very first production run of Holton saxophones. Frank Holton & Co. began manufacturing saxophones in Chicago in 1915, starting with serial number 1. By 1918, the factory moved to Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
- Markings: The "T" stands for Tenor, and the "LP" stands for Low Pitch. In the early 20th century, instruments were made in either "High Pitch" or "Low Pitch" ($A=440Hz$). Low Pitch is the modern standard, which is good news because it means the instrument can still be played in a modern band or orchestra.
It's rare
It is quite rare, though "rare" doesn't always translate to "extremely valuable" in the saxophone world.
- Military History: The engraving "U.S.Q.M.C." stands for the United States Quartermaster Corps. This confirms your saxophone was a military contract piece, likely issued to a U.S. Army band during World War I.
- Production Era: Because it was made in the very first year Holton produced saxophones (1915), it is one of the earliest examples of their work. Most surviving Holton saxophones are from the later 1920s or "Elkhorn" era.

A TREASURE WITH A PURPOSE
I never imagined I would have to part with this treasure.
But today, I am making a choice that is bigger than ownership.
By acquiring this treasure, you are not only becoming its guardian—you are helping bring to life a fermentation laboratory dedicated to educating people about one of the greatest challenges of our time: reducing the consumption of sugary drinks and rediscovering the power of natural fermentation.
My mission is to teach and inspire people to replace artificial beverages with living, natural alternatives such as Kefir and Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother—traditional foods that have nourished humanity for generations.
Every day, millions of people unknowingly sacrifice their health through excessive sugar consumption. Education can change that.
Your purchase will help fund a space where knowledge, fermentation, and natural wellness come together to empower healthier choices.
This is more than a transaction.
It is a transfer of a treasure with a purpose.
You receive a unique treasure.
And together, we help protect humanity's greatest treasure:
HEALTH.
Own a treasure. Create a legacy. Help educate. Help heal.
