This Moog MF-101 Lowpass Filter pedal is in mint condition. I will ship with a center-positive power supply (correct polarity, voltage, amperage, but not Moog original) and polarity inverting power cable to connect to a standard center-negative polarity pedal board power brick.
The MF-101 Lowpass Filter has been my favorite bass guitar filter pedal for about 20 years. I own two of these and this one is the newer, cleaner, quieter of the two with less run time. The MF-101 pairs wonderfully with any overdrive, fuzz, distortion, dirt pedal and will dial-in across a wide range of settings to produce amazing bass tones. I own other filters; Mu Tron, Q Tron, Bass Balls, MXR Envelope Follower and those are great. The MF-101 is the king. My studio needs some housekeeping and someone needs to enjoy my spare Moogerfooger.
MF-101 Lowpass Filter, a direct descendant of the original Moog modular synthesizers. It provides two modular synth functions: a voltage-controlled lowpass filter and an envelope follower. It can be used with any instrument-level to line level-signal.
The lowpass filter removes high frequencies from the instrument's tone. The Cutoff frequency sets the point in the sound spectrum where the filter becomes active. The Resonance control boosts the frequencies around the lowpass cutoff frequency (think quack). The Envelope follower opens the lowpass filter more as the input signal increases. The harder you pluck or pick, the more the envelope follower opens the filter to add dynamics to the tone. These main controls work together to produce the classic Moog filter sound from the Minimoog mono synthesizer. Use the Mix control to add a little or a lot and Drive control to match gain with your signal chain needs.
Control knob parameters: signal mix, cutoff frequency, resonance amount, and envelope amount.
Rocker switches select filter mode (2-pole=more frequencies pass above the cutoff frequency, 4-pole=less frequencies pass above the cutoff frequency) and envelope follower speed (slow or fast, depending on tempo and style preference).
LED lamps indicate signal gain (Level), envelope amount (ENV) and pedal bypass status (BYPASS). The LEDs go from dim, to green to bright orange to indicate gain and envelope levels at the current setting.
1/4" jacks for audio input, output, envelope out.
1/4" input jacks for pedal control of knob parameters: cutoff frequency, mix, resonance amount and envelope amount.
Heavy-duty bypass switch isolates pedal from signal chain when disengaged.
This pedal does not come with the original box or manual.
