Roland RS-09 was launched at the end of 1978 and was refreshed as a Mark 2 model in May 1980 to give it more of a Jupiter-8 look. For sale is the earlier model that was produced around 1979, with rocker switches and same metal enclosure as its siblings SH-09 and SH-2.
Although being in some way a cheaper alternative to the great Roland analog string machines like RS-202, RS-505 and VP-330, the RS-09 also features an organ section with two sound varieties which noticeably change the sound of the device. As always, both sections can be mixed together and processed with the glorious Roland chorus. The chorus has two settings and it also works for processing external sound sources. Once you find the perfect blend of organ and strings, you realize that RS-09 does its own special thing and does it very well!
The unit is in mint condition and had hardly been played during the last 47 years. The circuit of RS-09 utilizes the same lilac capacitors as in many old Roland synths, and at this point those caps bear potential danger to the circuit boards unless urgently replaced. This unit was no exception, so it has been fully recapped with 70+ high quality electrolytics. The sliders have been fitted with new dust shields, cleaned and lubricated to ensure smooth tweaking. The volume pot has been cleaned to eliminate crackle. The instrument has been tested and works flawlessly.
The synth comes with original Roland bag and original audio cable. The voltage is 100V.
