The EC-401VF's carved-top single-cutaway body is a crowd favorite. The thick mahogany back delivers big warmth and sustain, and the flame maple top adds attack to your tone - not to mention its beautiful contours. A familiar Tune-o-matic/stopbar tailpiece bridge setup firmly anchors the strings to the body for excellent tonal transfer. And the dual humbucking pickups can deliver smokey jazz tones and high-gain singing leads with equal ease and everything in between.

The true beauty of the LTD EC-401VF is the way it blends its vintage-leaning design elements with a neck carve and control layout that is accessible and comfortable for today's technical playing styles. The neck carries ESP's Thin U profile which is thinner than many vintage single-cutaways, but it's meaty enough for comfortable chording. The thin profile and 22 extra-jumbo frets make fast playing effortless. And the guitar's controls are laid out in a way that is quickly accessible, but positioned to avoid accidental changes while playing.
Thin U neck profile promotes fast playing
Deep cutaway for higher fret access
Classic maple and mahogany construction
24.75" scale length
Grover tuners offer great stability
