Nakamichi Dragon complete service and Certified Nakamichi tech with the correct test equipment.
Complete recapping 163 capacitors upgraded. Sounds amazing. Has a few minor scratches shown in pictures . Heads are in very good condition. This deck was well taken care of. 90 Day Warranty . Buyer responsible for shipping if after 30 days.
Service
The tape the tape transport was dismantled.
Cleaned old sticky lubricant from the idler cam mechanism, gears, capstans , hubs, head block , pinch roller shafts rocker arms etc .
Rebuilt auto azimuth
Relubed all parts as needed
replaced idler tires cam belt and counter belt
Cleaned heads and pinch rollers
cleaned potentiometers
replace the cassette well lamps
Replaced transport mounting post with through bolts for added strength
Realigned tape path guides and head depth
Adjust head height and aizimuth mechanism
adjusted test tone levels
Replace the orange capacitors using Wilma caps.
Replace the electrolytic capacitors using Elna silmic II in the audio circuits
Nichion FG/Fw/kw audio caps in the power supply circuits .
Replaced Nippon chemicon in the logic circuits .
increase the line in Dolby power supply filter caps value from 100 UF to 220 UFand the playback app from 100 UF to 470uf
adjusted the electronics for collect levels using TDK D/Sa/MA-X
-S/N: 55db type 1, 58db type ll/lV Dolby off, 63 db type 1, 65db type ll/lV, 68db type 1, 71db type ll/lV Dolby C
Distortion (400hz 0db) 0.70% type 1, 0.55% type ll, 0.55% type IV
frequency response( - 20 DB +/-3db) 20hz to 22hhz all tape types
The deck will be packed extremely well to survive being dropped and handled poorly during shipping.
