Now, we're proud to offer the D6X: an updated D6 that includes three different sound profiles accessible via a simple and convenient switch. You'll also benefit from Audix's proprietary dynamic Very Low Mass (VLM) capsule technology that retains all your transient information, a cardioid polar pattern for excellent off-axis rejection, and a rugged and discreet build that makes the D6X dynamic microphone super-easy to place.

Three switchable sound profiles

The D6X microphone provides you with superior tone-shaping capabilities via its 3-position switch. The bottom position (Deep) is the classic D6 sound you know and love, perfect for kick drums and bass cabs. The center position (Balanced) provides more mids and upper mids. Finally, the top position (Natural) gives you even more midrange and slightly alters high-end roll-off, giving you a great, natural-sounding capture of percussion instruments, guitar cabinets, and more.
