For sale is my personally owned Apogee Rosetta 800 192kHz – the upgraded 8-channel premium AD/DA converter with full support for sample rates up to 192kHz, plus the rare official X-FireWire card installed for direct FireWire connectivity to computers (compatible with Mac OS X and Windows XP era systems via Core Audio).

I am the original owner, purchased new in 2009 and used exclusively in my smoke-free, professional commercial recording studio. Always handled with care in a controlled environment – no abuse, light cosmetic wear only from normal rack use. Fully tested and sounding incredible – that classic Apogee warmth, detail, and musicality that still holds up against modern gear.

Key Features:

•  8 channels of high-end 24-bit AD/DA conversion

•  Sample rates up to 192kHz (fully upgraded version)

•  Signature Soft Limit (switchable per channel) for aggressive levels without digital harshness

•  UV22HR high-resolution dithering for pristine 16-bit reduction

•  Advanced IntelliClock dual-stage jitter reduction for ultra-clean clocking

•  I/O: 8x balanced analog (D-Sub), 8x AES/EBU (XLR), 8x ADAT Lightpipe (SMUX support)

•  X-FireWire card upgrade – seamless FireWire interface mode (ideal for legacy DAW setups like Logic, Pro Tools, Nuendo before USB/Thunderbolt era)

•  1U rackmount

Condition:

•  Excellent working order – powers on, locks to clocks, converts cleanly with no dropouts, artifacts, or issues in recent tests

•  Very good cosmetic condition for 15+ years – minor rack marks/scratches on sides/top from pro use, front panel remains clean and legible

•  No cables included (requires standard IEC power cord, D-Sub breakout cables for analog, etc. – buyer provides)

•  Includes original box, original packaging, original manual

This is a sought-after piece of pro audio history – the Rosetta 800’s converters are legendary for their analog-like smoothness and depth, and the 192k upgrade + FireWire card make it even more versatile and rare today. Perfect for tracking, mixing, mastering, or adding that premium Apogee character to your rig.
