A used 2021 Nashville Historic Collection 1964 ES-335 VOS has arrived.

Due to the VOS finish, it's hard to see, but there are some scratches and minor dents.

The frets show some wear but retain good height, ensuring excellent playability.

This ES-335 is a top-tier Gibson, crafted at the Nashville factory.

This model recreates the 1964 specifications, featuring the traditional style with pointed horns and the short pickguard adopted in the late 60s.

The tuners are also the two-knob Kluson Deluxe, introduced in the late 60s. The small block inlays are a specification from mid-62.

The neck grip is a mid-period medium C-shape, slightly thicker than the thinner early 60s specification.

Not only does it look fantastic, but it also sounds incredible. While most modern guitars use bonded construction, this one employs hide glue for the fingerboard joint, the set neck joint, the body's plywood construction, and the body bracing.

This traditional adhesive bonds wood tightly, enhancing vibration transfer and resulting in an instrument with excellent resonance. However, hide glue requires high craftsmanship and is unsuitable for mass production, so it's only used on select higher-end models.

Further refined from previous models, it comes even closer to capturing the essence of an old Gibson.

It incorporates specifications from the much-discussed “60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Standard”.

The headstock logo features a shape reminiscent of Gibsons up to the 1960s, and the crown inlay similarly approximates the design of that era.

Furthermore, the truss rod cover features an accurate 2-ply black-and-white ratio, showcasing the high level of craftsmanship evident even at a glance.

It is equipped with the well-regarded Custombucker pickups.

Alnico 3 magnets are used, promising a sweet sound.

Naturally, like vintage P.A.F. pickups, they are deliberately not potted.

Vintage-style paper oil capacitors are installed.

Comes with an original hard case.
