Universal Audio LA‑610 Signature Edition — Limited-Edition Vintage Tube Channel Strip

The Universal Audio LA-610 Signature Edition is a premium, all-tube recording channel strip that brings the legendary warmth and musicality of classic analog gear into today’s tracking and mixing workflows. It combines a vintage-inspired 610 mic preamp, EQ, and instrument DI with a smooth, program-dependent T4 optical compressor, all in a sleek 2U rackmount unit.

Why it’s special

• Authentic vintage tone: Based on the iconic 610 preamp architecture first developed by Universal Audio founder Bill Putnam Sr., known for rich harmonic character and expressive warmth.

• Signature Edition upgrades: Limited to just 500 units worldwide, each features hand-picked American NOS tubes and custom-wound CineMag transformers for enhanced clarity, depth, and tonal nuance.

• Musical compression: The built-in T4 optical compressor delivers smooth, natural gain control reminiscent of classic LA-2A dynamics—ideal for vocals, bass, and more.

• Versatile controls: Includes adjustable gain and level, variable mic impedance, EQ shelving, and an instrument DI input, making it a flexible front end for modern DAWs.

• Hand-built quality: Assembled, tested, and quality-assured in the USA with a certificate of authenticity, offering both sonic excellence and collector appeal.
