Collection Notes: This guitar came from a collection that was sealed indoors in 2014. I acquired it in 2021 and it has been indoors inside the case the entire time. It's an absolutely beautiful guitar. I had some questions about the authenticity and contacted Gibson/Epiphone. It was authenticated by a Gibson rep on 10/10/2025 (I will include the entire e-mail thread with the guitar). The detail in question is that the word "workmanship" is misspelled as "wirkmanship". Here's a snippet of my conversation with the Gibson rep:

"And yeah, good eye on that “wirkmanship” typo. That was actually a known printing mistake that showed up on some Epiphone labels from around 2008 to 2010. It wasn’t anything shady, just a small batch that slipped through from one of the label suppliers. A few of those even ended up in Japan and have the exact same error." -Ben R.
