Collings CL City Limits Tobacco Sunburst – Parallelogram Inlay, Throbaks
Serial: CL251673
Weight: 8b 5.6oz
The CL is Collings’ take on the vintage single-cut carved-top electric, but with the precision, balance, and top-tier craftsmanship that only Collings brings to the table. This Tobacco Sunburst example delivers that classic late-’50s aesthetic with a slightly modern edge, paired with upgraded Throbak pickups and parallelogram fingerboard inlays.
Like every City Limits, this one is carved from premium tonewoods and assembled with the tight tolerances Collings is known for. The Throbaks push it firmly into vintage territory—open, punchy, harmonically rich, and extremely touch-sensitive. Add the long-tenon set neck, ebony fingerboard, and Collings’ ultra-clean fretwork, and you’ve got one of the most dialed-in single cuts on the market.
