Gibson / 1962 J-45

"From Sunburst to Cherry Sunburst"

The J-45, previously available in sunburst, is now available in a new colorway.
Around 1960, the cherry sunburst color, featuring a reddish hue, appeared.
The contrast between the vibrant cherry color and yellow not only symbolizes the era, but also captivates players and listeners.

-The cherry color shows various expressions

The round spruce body features a cherry sunburst finish, with the cherry color running along the body and fading to yellow toward the center.
Unlike sunburst, the vibrant coloring has made it popular.

The sides and back are made of densely grained mahogany.
The Sunburst model is finished in a cherry color, as opposed to the natural finish.
You can see the mahogany grain peeking through the cherry color.

The neck is made of mahogany, and in the 1960s, the specifications were changed to a slimmer shape.

The rosewood upper belly bridge features adjustable ceramic saddles.
In the 1960s, adjustable saddles, which were previously optional, became standard equipment.

The pickguard specification changed from a small pickguard to a large pickguard in 1955.
The sunburst model uses a brown pickguard, while the cherry sunburst model uses a reddish pickguard to match the body color.

The headstock features a Gibson silkscreen logo and the headstock angle is set at 17 degrees.

The tuning machines are equipped with KLUSON triple tuning machines with white buttons.
The stylish look complements small heads.

This guitar is in excellent condition with no major damage other than a repaired crack around the sound hole.
We're sure there are many people looking for a cherry sunburst guitar with a 43mm neck width.
This is because starting in 1965, the guitar underwent a change to a narrow neck specification with a nut width of 39mm.
If you'd prefer a guitar with a standard width (43mm) rather than a thinner neck, be sure to check this out.
