Here is a 1970s era Ludwig 1123-1 Atlas "Spur-Lok" hi-hat stand. Has the all-metal T-handle adjustment screws instead of the earlier wing screws. In Good+ condition, has a bit less than usual wear for it's age, moderate scratching and scuffing in the chrome finish, some pitting and minor rust, chrome is blistered & peeling in two spots -- the tripod adjustment screw plate and the screw-clamp height adjustment memory lock. Less than normal wear on the foot board, linkage is in very good condition. Rubber feet are in good condition. Has a complete clutch including Chicago-era washer. Bottom cup plate and adjustment screw are intact. Stand is fully functional and operates quite smoothly. Only thing keeping this from being an exceptional player's stand is that a previous owner cut the upper pull rod quite short -- only 12" from the threaded connection to the top...might be too short to allow enough height for some players. With a good cleaning and lubrication & possibly a new spring, this stand could really shine and should last another 50+ years. With a new upper pull rod it could be an ideal lightweight stand for any drummer.
