Outstanding instrument, perfectly maintained for over 55 years, professionally used as studio practice instrument, inherited from first owner who personally selected the instrument at the Hamburg factory.
Shipped by Steinway to the US in 2009 and underwent substantial restoration at Steinway Astoria in New York City, including full matte refinishing due to minor shipping damage. Never any action, mechanical or soundboard damage, although tiny hairline cracks were found after it came out of the drying room which were filled in with oak from the same building year supplieerde by the Hamburg factory. Repegged and restrung.

Has been in my professional music studio since 2010, regularly maintained and infrequently used for recording and practice.
according to my piano technician and may professional keyboard players, it’s the finest Hamburg B in the Berkshires!
