EMG JH James Hetfield "Het" Humbucker Pickup Set - Brushed Black Chrome-NEW

In brief: 6-string Electric Guitar Pickup Set, Signature, with 2 Active Humbucker Pickups - Brushed Black Chrome

Unlock the crushing power and razor-sharp clarity of James Hetfield’s signature tone with the EMG JH “Het” Signature Pickup Set. Originally commissioned by Hetfield in 2009, this fearsome duo was engineered to fuse the articulate response of a passive pickup with the raw, high-output punch of EMG’s iconic active designs. The result is a stealthy, hard-hitting pair of humbuckers that deliver the Metallica frontman’s legendary 6-string aggression with stunning precision.

At the heart of the set is the JH-N neck pickup, built with individual ceramic pole pieces and larger-core bobbins inspired by — but more muscular than — the EMG 60. This refined construction yields heightened output, a tighter low end, and a sharper bite that cuts through any mix. In the bridge, the JH-B takes the same core concept and swaps in steel pole pieces for an ultra-focused attack, lending it a more controlled, responsive feel than the traditional EMG 81’s bar-magnet design.

Classic in looks but explosive in performance, the JH “Het” set is designed for players who demand clarity, authority, and metal-ready aggression from their 6-string.

To top it off, installation couldn’t be easier. EMG includes a complete solderless wiring kit featuring master volume, master tone, and quick-connect components that let you revamp your guitar’s electronics—no soldering iron required. Whether you’re upgrading a workhorse guitar or building a metal machine from scratch, the EMG JH “Het” Pickup Set delivers elite tone with zero hassle.
